The Judicial Council is established as a statutory body by the Judicial Commissions Act 2024 (the Act). It has functions and powers that include receiving and examining complaints made about Tasmanian judicial officers.
Any person can make a complaint against a judicial officer, including a body corporate or incorporate. Anonymous complaints are also accepted.
